Gerente de Comunicação na Mary Kay

Purpose of Job
Supervises and manages all activities and staff concerning Advertising, Public Relations and Sales Force Communications. Oversees and leads the marketing strategic initiatives while developing our company’s leading brand. Accountable for all Marketing expenses/investments. Provides to senior management forward-looking and actionable information and leads insights to the department for the purpose of developing strategies that maximize the potential of the Mary Kay brand and opportunity. Partners with all functional areas to provide and get inputs and insights on marketing initiatives to achieve the Company goals.
Responsibilities
1. Oversees consumer communication strategy, directing local team to develop advertising and PR plans to ensure maximum brand awareness at most effective cost. Leads the negotiation of media buy and agency fee.
2. Responsible for recommending department’s headcount and for hiring, developing and leading local Communication staff. Chairs weekly staff meetings to provide orientation on key projects, to recognize good practices, to brainstorm new ideas and to share future Corporate/Regional and other functional areas initiatives.
3. Leads local Forecast Committee team, ensuring effective communication among the involved areas (Product Marketing, Forecasting, Operations, Finance) and that Company profit objectives are met by minimizing obsolescence.
4. Represents Mary Kay Brazil’s marketing in Regional and Corporate meetings, as well as in Sales Force and public events.
5. Develops and maintains crucial business relationships with independent sales force members in order to obtain perspective and insights regarding products and marketing concepts.
6. Directs the strategy and execution of all aspects of communication to the sales force. Develops both short and long-term communications strategies, such as standby media statements and independent sales force verbal response statements that define the official Company position or reaction to crisis situations and enable the Company to provide consistent, on-target messages to all internal and external audiences.
7. Drives the development and implementation of all activities related to: communication to sales force PR and advertising (planning and execution of new campaigns, negotiation with agencies, etc)

8. Responsible for the local execution of publication to Sales Force in a monthly basis.
1. Position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business/marketing or related field plus a minimum of 10 years of communication and product management experience in consumer goods to effectively develop and implement marketing strategies. Masters degree preferred. At least 7 years supervisory experience required in order to select, train, supervise and develop the staff.
2. Proven track record of demonstrated strategic leadership and big-picture thinking from product concept development to execution of product launches required.
3. Fluent English is crucial and Spanish is a plus.
4. Superior oral, listening and written communication skills (English and Portuguese) required to establish credibility, to lead the staff and to exchange information with individuals at various levels of the organization.
5. Experience in cosmetic and direct sales company is a plus.
